Do you have a studio?
Yes! I have a studio in downtown Northville. This is a cozy space for me to photograph newborns and infants up to one year. In-home lifestyle sessions are also available for newborns and infants, please contact me for more details! For families and older kids, I prefer to shoot “on location” at public spaces such as parks, gardens, campuses, and downtown areas, as well as at clients’ homes.
What if it rains? Can we reserve an indoor backup location?
I prefer not to cancel a session due to weather until the last possible moment – forecasts are often wrong and sometimes a little patience can pay off. If we do have to cancel, we will reschedule for the next mutually convenient time. I allow flexibility in my schedule for this possibility.
While there are some indoor or covered locations that may work for some types of sessions, I cannot guarantee easy and free access to indoor backup spots for all sessions. If this is particularly important to you, we should discuss this well in advance and see if there is something that can be arranged. My studio may be suitable as a backup for some sessions, although this will change the style of the session considerably.
How long will it take to get my images?
Please allow two weeks for preparation of your ordering gallery.
When should I book my newborn and maternity sessions?
Maternity Sessions usually take place around 32-35 weeks. A discounted rate is available for Maternity Mini Sessions booked with a Newborn Session.
Newborns are best photographed within the first 3 weeks. Plan to contact me a few months prior to your baby’s expected arrival so that I can schedule accordingly in the weeks around the due date. I take on a limited number of newborn clients each month so that sessions can be arranged comfortably within the desired time frame after birth. Once your baby is born, let me know as soon as possible and we will finalize your session date.
